Is it easier to control glass flatness in the heating or cooling section?\u00a0Some specialists recommend controlling the flatness only during the quenching process.\u00a0Also, is it true that we should control glass to bow upwards in a U-shape to avoid collisions with the rollers?<\/p>\n<p>Watch our video answers here.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6csgTjbWvX8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" class=\"lazyload\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h5>Is it necessary to install an IR scanner at the furnace exit to monitor the glass exit temperature?<\/h5>\n<p>We recommend a\u00a0scanner for all our\u00a0furnaces<\/p>\n<h5>Is an exit temperature of 630\u2013640 \u00b0C for all thicknesses too high?<\/h5>\n<p>A temperature of 630\u2013640 \u00b0C is generally too high for thick glasses of over 10 mm and too low for thin glasses below 4 mm. For average 6\u20138 mm-thick glass, this range is good.<\/p>\n<h5>Is it easier to control glass flatness in the heating or cooling section?<\/h5>\n<p>You should control glass flatness in both sections \u2013 heating and cooling. But the overall bow is controlled in the chiller.\u00a0If you have a mechanical problem with the edges, then it\u2019s recommended to bow the glass upwards.
