Wir haben uns an die L\u00f6sung des Problems herangewagt, eine vollst\u00e4ndig transparente photovoltaische Solarzelle mit Hilfe einer neuen Technologie namens Plasmonics herzustellen. Daher kommt auch der Name Peafowl Plasmonics.<\/p>\n<p>Wir sind eigentlich von Anfang an Nanopartikel-Forscher. Wir wurden von VELUX eingeladen, die uns gefunden haben und sagten, dass ihnen unsere Technologie gef\u00e4llt und sie sehen, dass sie f\u00fcr die Glasindustrie sehr relevant ist. Sie glauben, dass die Peafowl-Technologie in ihre Produkte integriert werden k\u00f6nnte.<\/p>\n<p>Da ich kein Glasmensch bin &#8211; und Peafowl definitiv kein Glasunternehmen &#8211; erwarten wir, hier bei Step Change viel zu lernen und mit den Leuten zu sprechen und zu sehen, ob es eine Frage gibt, die wir beantworten k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n<p>Bis jetzt war es gro\u00dfartig. Die Leute kommen vorbei und sind wirklich interessiert. Und sie versuchen herauszufinden, wie unsere Technologie zu den Problemen und Herausforderungen dieser Branche passen kann.<\/p>\n<p>Meine Vision ist &#8211; und viele der Hauptredner haben das hier auf der GPD angesprochen &#8211; eine viel h\u00f6here Nachhaltigkeit f\u00fcr alle Gesch\u00e4fts- und Wohngeb\u00e4ude, die wir heute haben. Und Glas ist ein wichtiger Bestandteil davon. Wenn es uns also gelingt, diese Oberfl\u00e4chen in Energieerzeuger umzuwandeln, anstatt sie nur zu reflektieren, dann wird das eine gro\u00dfe Ver\u00e4nderung f\u00fcr die Menschheit sein. Es gibt etwa 30 bis 40 % des Energieverbrauchs, mit denen wir arbeiten k\u00f6nnen. Wir haben also die fantastische M\u00f6glichkeit, etwas Gutes f\u00fcr die Welt zu tun.<\/p>\n<p>Bei Peafowl engagieren sich alle Mitarbeitenden sehr f\u00fcr den Aspekt der Nachhaltigkeit in unserer Arbeit. Unser gr\u00f6\u00dfter Meilenstein ist, dass es tats\u00e4chlich funktioniert. Denn wenn ich eine v\u00f6llig transparente photovoltaische Solarzelle zeige, sagen die Leute: &#8220;Nein, das wird nie funktionieren.&#8221; Sie muss schwarz sein oder Dinge blockieren, damit sie funktioniert. Aber wir haben einen Weg gefunden, der eine v\u00f6llig andere Technologie verwendet, um das zu erreichen. Das Wichtigste war also, es zum Funktionieren zu bringen.
